What a weekend! We had a fun-filled weekend at Auburn. We arrived at Auburn Saturday morning around 11 am. It was Family Weekend at the Auburn Christian Student Center where Andy and Caleb are (that's my brothers-in-law). Andy is the college intern there at the Auburn C. of C. He even lives at the student center! There was a family picnic next to the church. You got to choose between a Guthrie's box or a McAllister's box for lunch. Jared and I had Guthrie's. We visited and ate with Andy's girlfriend (Jenny) and her family. It was cloudy and windy, but also sunny and slightly chilly. I was sporting my cool big shades (or I at least thought I looked cool), but, as luck would have it, I got a little sunburn on my face and for the last two days I've looked like a racoon, only mostly on one eye! Oh well! As you can see from the pis, Jared's Granny did not want to get pinched by any college boys (it being St. Patty's day and all)! Jared called her a leprechaun all day and proceded to tell everyone we met, mostly perfect strangers, that she was a leprechaun who came to search for her pot of gold. In response, Granny usually threw her fists up at Jared and shook them in his face! After the picnic most people went to the Auburn A Day game, but not the Sanders! They're all AL fans. Instead, we went to the student center and hung out with the fam. We played pool and tried to plan a vacation for this summer. Still got nothing done, go figure! Then we met up with Jenny's parents, her brothers girlfriends' parents, Andy's Chinese reader,Kevin, and his girlfriend, Lucy. We went to an Auburn restaurant called Niffers. It was very good! Then it was time for the devo back at the student center. Let's just say it was very interesting! I'll share the interesting details with whomever cares in person:) Afterwards we went to our hotel room. Notice I said room...singular... not plural! That's right, Jared, me, both of his parents, AND Granny...all in the same room! Again, I will share details in person with whomever wants to hear them:) I'll leave this one incident with you...Let's just say that Granny thought it was strange that Jared started freaking out when she tried to come out of the bathroom with no pants on! Lucky for all of us, she didn't! On the bright side, it was a big room, two queen size beds and a pull out couch, but still... Sunday morning we woke at the crack of dawn (after a sleepless night) so all 5 of us could get ready and get to church on time! And we did!!! I never can get why Mr. Harry, Jared, and I always have to be the first up when we are (don't laugh) the fastest at getting ready. Oh well! We went to church (was that what it was????) and then had lunch at another Auburn restaurant called Amsterdam which was also very tasty. Then Jared and I went to see Andy's apt and went home. We got home in time for church at S.S.C.ofC. Now let me tell you, the crowd was small, but the preaching was EXCELLENT!!! lol My dad was the speaker, so I guess I'm slightly partial. Don't take it the wrong way, I think David is excellent as well, I'm just saying... :) All in all, it was a weird, akward, funny weekend...oh did I mention that the speaker at Auburn said the spirit was at church Sunday morning.... I mean he was actually feeling it...is there something wrong with me because I didn't feel it???
